Two Swiss co-produced films will be making their world premier in the Out of Competition section, as well as in the independent parallel section Giornate degli Autori, of the Venice International Film Festival, according to Swiss Films.
The Swiss-Franco co-production POURQUOI LA GUERRE (WHY WAR) is set to make it’s premier in the Out of Competition section, and the film is being handled Elefant Films, which operates out of Geneva.
The film was inspired by letters written between Albert Einstein and Sigmund Freud dated close to a century ago.
THE ANTIQUE by Georgian director Rusudan Glurjidze is a co-production between Georgia, Switzerland, Finland and Germany with the Swiss co-production being handled by Cinetrain. It tells the story of a young Georgian named Lado, who becomes involved in smuggling antique furniture from Georgia to Russia.
